One last surprise appointment for the new administration

In what is being called the most unprecedented and unorthodox move, the new administration has taken a bold step to assure the stability of the country’s future. After a long discussion with senior advisers President-Elect Obama has made a bold decision which will reportedly be announced right before the inauguration according to reports close to the new administration.

President-Elect Obama, who has been “surprised” by the state of the economy as more information continues to come in will reportedly announce on Tuesday morning that he is naming Bill Clinton to be the next President of the United States. “We pretty much all worked in the first Clinton administration, and more and more of us came on board, we all came to the conclusion that the best thing to do would be to bring Bill on board for a third term” says a cabinet-level designate who agreed to speak on the condition of anonymity. “Mr. Obama clearly wants to do what’s best for the country, and after long conversations it became obvious to him that this would be the best direction.”

The Obama team is very supportive of handing over the reigns to their previous boss, but is it constitutional? “After 8 years of the Bush/Cheney administration it is clear that the constitution is of little consequence. It is definitely an unprecedented decision, but it is what we knew we had to do” the source continued. Reports indicate that Mr. Obama will keep an office in the White House as a special adviser to the President, but all executive power will stay in the Clinton family. Mr. Biden will stay on as Vice President unless it becomes obvious that Mr. Clinton’s health deteriorates, at which time Mrs. Clinton will take over.

The source concluded that “this is something a lot of us were hoping for anyway, and we are all excited to take our old jobs, or slightly different jobs and get back to the projects that have been on hold the past eight years.”
